I once heard a story about a woman named Sara who left church absolutely blessed. She ran into her friend Kim, who had missed service that week.
“Oh, Kim, you missed a good one today!” Sara gushed. “The Pastor preached! I hollered, skipped down the aisle—the Holy Spirit was moving! You really missed out.”
Kim sighed. “Wow, now I’m really bummed. What did the Pastor preach about?”
Sara paused. “Uh… well… something about a boy… the disciples… and unbelief. But it was the way he said it. It was good.”
Kim smirked. “So… you don’t actually remember?”
Sara shifted uncomfortably. “Well… I did take notes. Anyway, see you next week!”
I don’t want to be a Sara this week. I don’t want Sunday’s message to fade by Monday. So, I’m making a plan—right now—to keep the sermon alive all week long.
Monday: Write & Reflect ✍️
- Write down the main points, scriptures, and key takeaways from the sermon.
- Reflect on the impossible dream God has placed in your heart.
- Pray for faith to believe that with God, all things are possible.
Tuesday: Meditate & Memorize 🧠
- Choose a key verse that encourages me to believe in the impossible.
- Write it down and keep it visible.
- Repeat it throughout the day, let it build my faith.
Wednesday: Apply It Practically 🔄
- Identify a step of faith I can take toward my dream.
- It could be small—writing down the vision, researching, or praying specifically.
- Trust that God moves when I act in faith.
💡 Action Idea: Write one bold step I can take toward your God-sized dream this week.
Thursday: Journal & Pray 🙏
- Write about any doubts, fears, or obstacles that make the dream feel impossible.
- Write a prayer surrendering these to God.
- Ask for the courage to dream boldly and trust His timing.
Friday: Worship & Gratitude 🎶
- Spend time in worship, thanking God for placing the dream in my heart.
- Choose a worship song that stirs my faith.
- Declare that, despite how things look now, God is working behind the scenes.
🙌 Gratitude Prompt: Write down 3 things I’m grateful for as I pursue this dream with God.
Saturday: Revisit & Refresh 🔄
- Read my notes from Day 1.
- What has God revealed to me this week?
- Have any obstacles started looking smaller?
- Pray for clarity on the next steps and trust in His process.
Sunday: Share & Discuss 🗣️
- Talk to a friend,or family member about the dream.
- Pray and encouragement someone God puts in my heart
- Share how following this plan impacted my week .
“What’s one ‘impossible dream’ God has put in my heart, and how have I seen Him work in ways I didn’t expect?”
“With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” — Matthew 19:26
Matthew 19:26
I’ll be sharing my progress on Instagram throughout the week—how this plan is keeping the sermon alive in my heart and little snippets of what Pastor shared. Like Pastor said, “The choices you make in life are based on what you believe.” And I believe that with God’s help, dreaming an impossible dream isn’t just for others—it’s for me too.
What about you? What part of your pastor’s sermon stood out to you this week? And how do you keep the Word fresh in your heart all week long? Let’s talk! ⬇️✨
