The Heart of Worship: Discovering Praise Beyond the Music
How Collective Worship and God’s Love Transform Our Lives
Recently, I attended Cece Winans’ concert and was left with some profound takeaways. As I reflect on the experience, I realize that there is more to praising God than just listening to awesomely good singers and musicians. Praise and worship are not just about having a famous musician who has been singing on stages since she was 16 years old; it is a heart thing.
Praise him because He is good and He is God.
One of the most important things that I learned at the concert was to praise God not only for myself but also for those around me. We should praise him for our children, for our neighbors, for the unsaved child, for the healing parent. We should praise him because he is good and he is God. No matter what is happening in our lives, we should always let God be great.
Gratitude is an important part of our being
Gratitude is an important part of our being, and we should always take inventory of the people that allow us to do the things that bring us joy and remember to thank them for it. She said Growing up in the church is a GOD thing, and it is not something that we should take lightly. I can totally relate. Now more than ever, I have found myself thanking God just for knowing that He exists and He really wants me to know Him.The church, the true church not the building, she continued, is a company of believers that have been saved by grace and continue to come together to praise the God who made them for WHO HE IS .
A Fresh Start with God’s Forgiveness
God’s forgiveness is also a powerful lesson that I learned at the concert.
When God forgives our sins, he puts them in the sea of forgetfulness and says to us, “let’s start over.” Who would not love a God like that?
Being in the presence of God, feeling his embrace, and experiencing his closeness bring joy, peace, love, strength, and power. I don’t know if it is because Cece did not holler and scream like other ministers do, but when she stood on that stage and beautifully said: “We should always believe in God for healing, even if it takes longer than we expected. We should believe in God that the cancer is gone, that the children are saved, that the finances are right, and that the business will prosper. We should believe him because his word says that.” I am going to add, believe for that unborn child.
I totally felt on the inside of me that I can tackle anything. Of course not by myself, but by me ultimately putting my trust in God’s word.

The Power of Collective Praise
When Cece Winans led us in singing “Move the immovable, Break the unbreakable, From the impossible, We’ll see a miracle, Lord, We Believe for it!”
This was a life-changing moment and a very authoritative way of taking our position in the kingdom of God. It was an immensely powerful moment that was different in that auditorium than it has ever been when I sang it by myself so many other times in the past. It was a God moment.
In conclusion, there is nothing like the love of God. It is pure, genuine, giving, and never-ending. God wants us to experience that love . I believe God is thrilled when a company of like-minded believers who are praising Him and declaring powerful things about his faithfulness, presence, and closeness come together.
Attending Cece Winans’ concert sparked a freshness in me of the power of praise and worship and the importance of gratitude, forgiveness, and belief in God’s promises.
I am grateful for God’s accessible relationship with me, and I encourage you to seek that same relationship in your own life.
It is very strange some people might say that some of the most important decisions we need to make in life are the easiest but for some reason we tend to hesitate and procrastinate . Why? I am not sure. Hopefully this is not one of them.
You can say this prayer:
Jesus , today I make you Lord of my life. I believe that God raised you from the dead and I am delivered from death to life in you. Help me see myself the way you see me from today on. Amen. I am saved!
Welcome to the family! All what I experienced and Cece talked about is now officially yours because you are now in CHRIST.
I am doing somersault with happy smiles and hugs here for you.
